There has been no official news or announcement on the release date of Kimetsu no Yaiba Demon Slayer Season 2. However, there is a film called Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train scheduled to premier in 2020 that carries on from where the anime Season 1 left off before the released of the second season. The movie covers the āDemon Trainā Arc from the manga, Chapters 53 to 66. Story Arcs Currently there are 11 arcs in the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga. The list of arcs are shown below. 1. Final Selection ArcManga Chapters 1 to 9 or anime Episodes 1 to 5. The first Arc focuses on Tanjiroās training with Sakonji Urokodaki for the Demon Slayer Corpsās Final Selection after his family was slaughtered and his sister turned into a demon. 2. The Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1 anime began airing on April 6, 2019 and ended with the season finale on September 28th, 2019. Season 1 covers the story between Chapters 1 to 52 from the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga. It was directed by Haruo Sotozaki and produced by Ufotable. Prior to airing of Season 1, a film titled Kimetsu no Yaiba Kyoudai no Kizunaā which included the first five episodes was screened in Japan on March 29, 2019 for two weeks. The film was then screened later in Los Angeles on March 31, 2019 by Aniplex of America. It was later screened by Madman Entertainment in Australia on April 2, 2019. Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 1 is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll, Hulu and Funimation. Episodes There are a total of 26 episodes in Season 1 for this anime series. Here is a quick synonpsis of each episode in the series. 1. CrueltyA young boy named Tanjiro Kamado finds his family slaughtered after coming back home one day. His sister, Nezuko Kamado, survived, but is turned into a Demon. A Demon Slayer, Giyu Tomioka, arrives and sends Tanjiro to see his master. 2. Trainer Sakonji UrokodakiOn the way to Mt. Sagiri, Tanjiro and Nezuko encounter the Temple Demon and defeat it. They meet with Urokodaki and he takes Tanjiro to train him. 3. Sabito and MakomoUrokodaki accepts Tanjiro as his disciple and trains him for the Demon Slayer Corpās Final Selection. For his final task, Tanjiro must slice a boulder with his sword. 4. They arrive at a mansion where they must find the young boy who had been kidnapped. 12. The Boar Bare its Fangs, Zenitsu SleepsTanjiro and Inosuke Hashibara fight the Tsuzumi Demon. Meanwhile, Zenitsu encounters a Demon and loses consciousness, which brings out his true potential. 13. Something More Important than LifeTanjiro manages to defeat the Tsuzumi Demon and leaves the mansion. He then finds a badly wounded Zenitsu protecting Nezukoās box from Inosuke. 14. The House with Wisteria Family CrestThe wounded group follows the Kasugai crow and arrives at a house with Wisteria Family Crest. The family living here have been caring for the Demon Slayer Corps for generations and is considered a resting spot for anyone in the Corps. 15. Mount NatagumoThe group is then sent to Mt. Natagumo, where they find a terrified Demon Slayer. The group except for Zenitsu moves forward and finds captured Demon Slayers controlled by the Mother Spider Demon of a Spider Demon Family. 16. Letting Someone Else Go FirstTanjiro and Inosuke defeat the Mother Spider Demon, releasing their captured comrades. The Mother Demon warns them that one of the Twelve Demon Moons is on the mountain. 17. You Must Master a Single ThingZenitsu battles and defeats the elder brother of the spider family, but gets poisoned. To slow down the spread of the poison, he concentrates on using his breathing technique. Meanwhile, Tanjiro and Inosuke are in combat elsewhere. 18. A Forged BondTwo Pillars, Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho arrive at the mountain to help both Zenitsu and Inosuke. 19. HinokamiTanjiro and Nezuko fight Rui, the true leader of the family and a member of the Demon Moons. Tanjiro struggles with Ruiās attacks until he remembers his fatherās Kagura dance and incorporates it into his breathing techniques. 20. Pretend FamilyTanjiro fails to defeat Rui, though Giyu arrives just in time. Shinobu also saves another Demon Slayer using her unique poisoned blade. 21. Against Corps RulesTanjiro and Nezuko run away from Shinobu as she attacks Nezuko. They soon get captured by Kanao Tsuyuri and are taken back to the Demon Slayer Corp headquarters for questioning. 22. Master of the MansionTanjiro explains his situation and swears that Nezuko will never hurt humans. The Master of the Demon Slayers appears and approves of the situation, though several Pillars disagree. 23. Hashira MeetingNezuko refuses to attack Sanemi Shinazugawa. Rehabilitation TrainingTanjiro and Inosuke begin rehabilitation training to rebuild their stamina and Zenitsu joins them later on.
